Multi E3 over PA-POS-OC3(SMI) ... is possible ???

Hi,

I would like know if is possible use a PA-POS-OC3SMI (155 Mbps) for collect the traffic from two E3 (34 Mbps).

Of course, if is possible, I would like know how can I must configure the PA-POS-0CE3SMI for routing over two links at 34Mbps.

I show an example of my reality:

E3--------------- ---------

| ADM |---------------------| ADM | ---- PA-POS-OC3SMI

E3--------------- ---------

Thanks in advances,

Christian (Italy)

Hi Christian -

The PA-POS-OC3xxx port adapters are for "concatenated" OC3, which means that there is one STS-3 payload per SONET frame. It's not possible to MUX 3 STS-1 streams and terminate them into this port adapter.

I'm not sure what the SDH terminology is for this, but the principle is the same.

Regards,

Clay
