Multi-homed example with cable/DSL

Can someone please post, or point me to, a good example of a multi-homed config, that would work with two cable/dsl providers. They won't support BGP so it will have to use some other method. I have heard that policy routing or NAT can be used. Even better, would be a config that includes a terminiation point for an IOS VPN tunnel.

Thanks.

Billy

If you are looking for load balancing, you can put two equal cost default routes pointing to each provider, to achieve LB.

Yes, this is how I started out, but the problem is that when one link goes down, I get 50% loss on traffic. Outgoing traffic still tries the gateway of the link thats down. And, with no dynamic routing protocols, I can't use metrics because the interface will never go down.
