I have a scenario in which a 100Mb switch needs to be connected to a 10Mb interface on a router. Vlans are running through the LAN and I require a Multi-Vlan port (not trunk) configured on switch port.
I have configured this on a 3500XL and 2900XL switches running Version 12.0 of the IOS but do not seem to have this command available on version 12.1 of the IOS running on a 2950/3550 switch. Is it just me or is this command not available on this version?

No, it's not just you. It is not supported anymore.
What router are you using?
For example a 2610 could do 802.1q VLANs on the built-in 10BaseT interface with 12.2(2)T.

Thanks very much. I am actually using a 2600 router in fact, so I will try that. Otherwise I will try downgrading the IOS.
Cheers.

It is not the IOS, it is just not supported on the new switches as trunking is a better solution then multivlan configuration.
