cisco router 2611xm connect to satellite modem through fast ethernet interface
but can't receive multicast packet from center
when pc conncect directly to modem, everything is ok
show ip pim int count
it seems the router doesn't see any multicast packet on the interface
and the ttl is higher enough for the packet not to be droped

Yi Chen,
What multicast routing protocol is the center router running? Can you send the output from the following commands:
show ip pim interface
show ip mroute

all routers run pim dense-mode
and the satallite modem break down the pim connection between routers
it can only forward unicast packet and defined interesting multicast packet

So there is no PIM neighbor relationship established between the 2611 and the center router?

y
sorry,I make a mistake
the satellite modem need to define the multicast source address but I forgot
so the test PC without address defined can't send multicast
btw, multicast flow control in such mixed network seems difficult
