Multicasting questions with 3550 & 2620

Hi,

I'm pretty new to the world of cisco so please excuse me. My company have recently bought a lot of cisco equipment, including 3508, 3550, 2620 router and some other switches. We have setup VLAN's and all is working very well, thanks to all your postings but we have a piece of software that distributes desktop builds using multicasting but i seem to be having a real problem understanding it. Is there a easy way of configuring it (an idiot's guide)?

Multicasting is an advanced and complex topic and I do not think that one small guide can help you here. I am providing the link to the cisco's support page on Multicast where it has lot of useful articles on multicast. Take some time to read these articles. May be this is a good place to start.
