If I use the dialler load threshold 64 command and ppp multilink command on my BRI interface, will this use the second 64k channel once the threshold is reached ?

Re: multilink for isdn

correct,

the load threshhold can be set to tell IOS when that link is considered 'loaded'.

in a ppp multilink ISDN BRI scenario, this can be used as a trigger to bring up a second BRI in the multilink bundle.

see this link for more info:

Re: multilink for isdn

Hi,

dailer load thresold command is used for triggering the second b-channel. The values are from 1-255 i.e if you set a value of 130, it will trigger the second b-channel when you have a load of 32kbps on the first b-channel.

In your case with value of 64, it will trigger the second b-channel when the load on the first channel goes above 16Kbps.

Thanks
