Multilink PPP

I want to be able to provide load balancing across multiple serial circuits using PPP encapsulation in either a single router or dual router scenario. I have read the MPPP and MMPPP information published on CCO. Will either of these technologies support serial T1 communications? Any recommendations on MPPP vs. MMPPP would be appreciated.

Thank You,

Dan

Re: Multilink PPP

Yes, MPPP will work with T1's.... see http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/129/15.html and I'm pretty sure (scanning CCO) that MMPPP will also but I'm not too familiar with MMPPP. If guess if you have more than one router on one side, you may go for MMPPP.

Re: Multilink PPP

This will work, I've done MPP with 4 3640's and 4 T1 Point-to-Points, 2 T1's/ Router. We aggregated the 4 T1's together and they now have a redundant 6mb link between two cities. Very cool.

Good luck.
