multiple ppp links on a single t1

is it possible to define several ppp links one one t1, such as timeslots 1-8 for one, 9-16 for a second and 17-24 for a third, each to carry a different IP range?

If so, how does one define it?

Re: multiple ppp links on a single t1

Yes,

First you must be utilizing a multichannel T1 capable interface. Use the channel-group command on the controller T1 section to define each of the channel groups. This will create corresponding serial interfaces in the configuration.

Example:

controller T1 3

framing esf

clock source internal

linecode b8zs

channel-group 0 timeslots 1-8 speed 64

channel-group 1 timeslots 9-17 speed 64

Creates:

interface Serial3:0

no ip address

no ip directed-broadcast

!

interface Serial3:1

no ip address

no ip directed-broadcast

Each interface can then be treated uniquely.

Well, that is enough good Karma for me today, back to my russian mail-order bride catalog.
