Multiple Vlans on single switchport

On a Cisco 3548XL we are trying to configure multiple vlans to a single switchport. A AIR-AP350 device is connecting to the switchport and we would like to configure two separate vlans.

Here is the configuration on the interface

interface FastEthernet0/40

switchport multi vlan 20,140

spanning-tree portfast

Here is the error message I get when I try:

ethussa_3A_21(config-if)#switchport mode multi

Command rejected: One or more ports is already configured as a trunk port.

A show cdp neigh detail show's the device connected and the IP but I can not ping the address which is in the Vlan140.

Re: Multiple Vlans on single switchport

Looks like you have another interface on this switch configured as trunk port? You can have either a trunk or multi-vlan configured on a switch
