I don't believe we have such a document. As each switch can only exist in one VTP domain however, you simply give each domain a different name. Switches, although connected, will only exchange VTP information with switched configured with the same VTP domain name. It is possible to route between VLANs in diffenent domain using a router or MSFC etc.
Usually however, only one domain is used in a network and the VLAN is used to segment traffic.
