Native vlan

Who can answer me,what this syntax

"switchport allow vlan 1 untagged (tagged)" with in purchase of native vlan means. Then, when I configure this syntax, how to configure my uplink on an access Port?

Re: Native vlan

This commad "switchport allow vlan 1 untagged (tagged)" has effect only on trunk port. On an access port each frame is untagged so it doesnot effect. Just configure you port as " switchport mode acess " and the acess vlan number to enable the uplink as access port.
