Hi
I've seen the following LogMessages:
%DUAL-5-NBRCHANGE: IP-EIGRP 2040: Neighbor 10.10.10.15 (Vlan60) is up: new adjacency
%DUAL-5-NBRCHANGE: IP-EIGRP 2040: Neighbor 10.10.10.15 (Vlan60) is down: retry limit exceeded
Why logging the active MSFC this message? Because the 10.10.10.15 Interface is on an standby MSFC defined.

First message indicates this MSFC received a hello packet from 10.10.10.15. Second message means that this MSFC sent an update/query/reply but never received an acknowledgement. So the problem is 10.10.10.15 is either not hearing our reply or we are not getting his ACK. Check layer 1 and 2 connectivity.

Hi
The layer 1 and 2 are o.k. Have you any ideas?
The MSFC what is located in CAT6500, is the standby MSFC. From the network it's not possible to ping al of its Interfaces on this standby MSFC (10.10.10.15 etc.).
I'am not understand why the active MSFC make an error messages because the standby MSFC are only on Layer 1 an 2 reachable. But on Layer 3 is the stanby MSFC not reachable.
