Need HDLC reference

I am working on a serial connection that is utilizing HDLC and x25. Can anyone point me to a reference on the WEB that would show me the correct sequence of HDLC frames I should see when initiating a connection, maintaining a connection and terminating a connection?

Re: Need HDLC reference

Since cisco's HDLC is proprietary, there

is not going to be a lot of info on

the web about it.

But note that we only use HDLC for

for framing, where you basically will

see the format as

flag addr control pid data FCS flag

1 1 1 2 X 2 1 no of bytes

This format is independent of connection

initiation, maintenance, or termination.

As for X25, the packet formats would be

per the standard.
