Need Help with PPP AUX to AUX!

Hi there,

I'm trying to make this lab work, using 2 x 2611 routers, the dialing router calls and and the modem picks up at the other end, but the called router does not respond to the chap challenge, I'm able to dialing using hyper terminal for exec dialing, that's working fine...

I have turned on debug for chat, ppp authentication and ppp negotiation on both routers, but I only get an output on the calling router.

Here is the output from the calling router:

Re: Need Help with PPP AUX to AUX!

The debug on the calling router makes it look like things are looped, since the Magic Number, the packet IDs, and the name used by the CHAP process are all the same (indicating we are receiving the packet that we just sent out).

There isn't really much in the config that could cause this (and the config looks fine anyway), so I would suggest you confirm the numbers being dialed and the modem configs. Debug modem might be of interest to you, too. Finally, you could try to reverse telnet from one of the routers to the aux port, manually dial 905889xxxx, and see if you get the login prompt for the remote.

The line is fine, It was the modem adapter some one had changed the pin out on me...

Many thanks
