I have been using 3548's in my closets, but since they have been EOL'd I have started to use 2950's. The problem is that when I try to use my NetScout probes to monitor them (2950's), I can't. Specifically, I can't span ports, which isn't much good when I try to do utilisation studies.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why, and how to go about correcting it?
By any chance, is it hitting bug CSCdy20336? And may be the reason could be, since it earlier probing 3548s and now its a 2950, there could be some mismatch . May be you need to re-initialise the probes.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
