I am using CiscoWorks 2000 and I need to get baselines for our network.
What can I take and what tools can I use for them within the CiscoWorks 2000. We have a CiscoProbe attached to 2 core Switches only and the others are edge switches attached to the core so do not have direct connection to the Probe. These edge switches are 4000 series.
Please what baselines can I take. I also have Traffic Director installed? Please point me direclty to the tool to use within the Cisco2000 and what exactly to take.
Traffic Director was an excellent tool, but lacks some of the needed capabilities to do capacity planning and baselining. The newest version of Traffic Director is nGeniusPerformance Manager v.1.4. The following URL should help get information on this upgrade. www.netscout.com/products/pm.htm
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
