I'm designing a new network for a large standalone building .5 mi away from our main campus. Access switches will be four 3750 stacks of six. A 6513 w/ sup32 and (12) 6148 POE 10/100/1000 RJ-45 line cards, all uplinking to a 6504 w sup 720. All this needs to temporarily uplink back to the main campus classic 6509 but be connectable through the 6504 to MPLS/metroethernet at a later date. The classic 6509 has a 6408-GBIC card in it. I need help with the best possible hardware config to do this. Can I use LX/LH SFP to LX/LH GBIC?
What module do I need for the 6504? What possible problems am I going to experience using new 6500 in conjunction with classic 6500?
