Network Monitoring Using Cisco Service Assurance A: HPPT request over Proxy

Hello !!

Can i change the default UDP-port 80 for Http Requests over a proxy-server when i use the following config:

HTTP RAW operation through a Proxy Server

In this example http://www.proxy.cisco.com is the proxy server and http://www.xyz.com is the HTTP Server.

(config)# rtr 6

(config-rtr)# type http operation raw url http://www.proxy.cisco.com

(config-rtr)# http-raw-request

(config-rtr-http)# GET http://www.xyz.com HTTP/1.0\r\n

(config-rtr-http)# \r\n

(config-rtr-http)# exit

(config)# rtr schedule 6 start-time now

I need to change the UDP Port for http from 80 to 8080. Can someone give me an answer?? Thank you!

Re: Network Monitoring Using Cisco Service Assurance A: HPPT req

To change the http port from 80 to 8080 you would problaby need to configure static NAT on the router with the IP address of the proxy in there. Whatever interface leads to the proxy would be NAT inside interface and the interfaces that your users are off of would be the NAT outside interface. Below is an example of how the static NAT would look if your users are using port 80 to get to the proxy but the proxy only recognizes port 8080. If it is the other way around then you would just swap the port numbers
