NETWORK THROUGHPUT

Hi all,

I need to calculate of one Local Network.

Someone knows a tools for take this?

Could provide more information?

such as;

- PC --> Switch --> fiber --> Switch --> PC?

- Type of fiber and the distance, ie; MM, SM

- MM fiber w/SX GBIC 50/62.5 micron, type of glass is used in the fiber is about 800 feet 1GB and SM fiber up to 10K promising 1 GB with LX, LH GBIC 1 GB.

- Are you ether channeling?

If you have 65xx series switch, it has build in OTDR for physicial test and fiber DB lost..etc.

The simple way is;

setup linux box with virtual ram drive and run FTP on ether side of the network and monitor your speed
