new flash image? router lck out

I need to get a new flash IOS image onto my router. By mistake I loaded an IOS image onto the router that seems to be to big for memory to run.

I found a page on the cisco support site that shows how to use xmodem via the console port but it does not find the image.

i used the following command....

xmodem -c c2600-io3-mz.122-10a.bin

and i get the following output....

rommon 4 > xmodem -c c2600-io3-mz.122-10a.bin

Do not start the sending program yet...

File size Checksum File name

5654960 bytes (0x5649b0) 0x37f1 c2600-io3-mz.122-2.T.bin

WARNING: All existing data in bootflash will be lost!

Ready to receive file c2600-io3-mz.122-10a.bin ...

Timeout waiting for data - aborting download...

I cant seem to get past this......... any help would be appreciated. I just need to get a new IOS image onto this router. it is a 2611.

Thanks......

Re: new flash image? router lck out

I would suggest you use tftpdnld command in ROMMON to recover the router, its much easier;
