NFS server not responding

we replaced our network Core devices to catalyst 6509(layer 3) + 4006.

we have a few UNIX Servers connected to the cat 6500 in 100 full duplex.

Users that are using nfs are getting slow performance.

in the unix server log files we see the messages:

"server not responding

server ok

server not responding

server ok

..... "

these messages are repeated sevral time till the user gets the application window

these errors started after the network core replacment.

on the unix side there where no changes

does anyone have seen it before ?

Do you see any errors on the ports of the switch? Do a "show port x/y". Do you see lot of Out-Discards? Also paste the output of sh ver from the switch connected to this server
