Hi,

I have a customer using nGenius 1.3.0 Build 2.7 - They have a network of CAT 6 & 4ks with NAM modules installed into each of the 6ks. They have added all the CAT switches to nGenius Ok and they can add one NAM module but when they try and add a second NAM module in another switch they are getting an error message 'Device IP already exists - Severity 2 - Error code 16057'

Has anybody ever come across this before?

Andy.

- You don't need to add the NAM separately in RTM. You only need to add the switch in which the NAM(s) are installed with the correct device credentials, SNMP strings etc and RTM will automatically add the switch and learn the NAM(s).

- What kind of NAMs are these?. The old WS-X6380-NAM or the new WS-SVC-NAM-1/2 ?. The reason being that RTM 1.3 does not support the new WS-SVC-NAM-1/2. These are supported only in RTM 1.4 with the latest patch installed.

- Also make sure that you have installed the latest RTM 1.3 patch# 255 from CCO: http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/rtm-13 which contains several important fixes.

- http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/477/RTM/rtm-nam.shtml is also something that you can look at for help.
