You need to make sure that if you're acessing the server from a remote client via any X-apps:
- xhost +
where is the name of the server from where you are installing the patch.
- Run the install as root
- Set the DISPLAY environment variable to the server from where you are installing the patch
Better access the server from the console itself to install the patch in that case you don't need to do any of ther above.
