NMS For Small Network (Such as Router IP Console)

Hello,

I have a very small network with minimal NM requirements. We simply want to alert the users when the primary serial connection goes down (the DDR works so well that they never notice). I have found a few shareware products on the web. Does anyone have any experience with a small NMS solution like this? I would buy Cisco View, but I understand that it is only bundled with larger packages (Cisco Works, etc.).
