Occassionally for up to 3 hours our Cisco 801 router seems to create a connection to the ISP dialup number but there is no IP address given by the ISP to the dialer port. This results in our router being unable to communicate on the internet while this condition persists. Resetting the router during this condition has no effect. Eventually the router will get a address and work fine. Is this a problem with our router or our ISP?
