no ip routing - command does not work on a sup720-3b

Cannot disable IP routing on a 6513 running IOS with a Super720-3B ,

I wish to run only layer 2 for now but as soon as i create a vlan with a IP address its start routing . No ip routing command comes up as not supported in this platform .

It cannot be disabled by design since it turns off hardware forwarding. If you still wish too disable ip routing, you can do so after enabling "service internal"

Router(config)#no ip routing

Router(config)#no ip routing

Router(config)#

6d18h: %C6KFIB-4-DISABLED: Hardware FIB forwarding disabled, reverting to only software forwarding.
