no "speed 10" command

Hi Cisco,

i have a 7206, NPE225 with IOS 12.4(5), and i want to change the speed on an FastEthIF manually to 10 MBit/s. That doesn´t work, even when i put in "half-duplex", and even if i put in "media-type rj45". Is it maybe not possible to reduce the speed on an FastEthIF to 10MBit/s?

Kind regards, Philip

Re: no "speed 10" command

What kind of FE card do you have? Issue a sh diag to check. Certain FE cards do only 100Mbps and cannot do 10 Mbps

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps341/products_tech_note09186a0080094ea3.shtml#io-board

For example, the C7200-I/O-FE-MII card I have in my lab 7200 cannot do 10Mbps.
