No results in DFM Fault History Report

Hi,

I have not received any results in my DFM Fault History since Feb 4. All processes appear to be running normally, but in the Adminstration Console, I am being prompted to enter a domain to attach to. But nothing I put in the Domain box works. I always receive a message that DFM is not registered with the broker.

This is the message I receive when using Fault History - "No device found for your selected filters. Please change filters."

Using CiscoWorks 2000 with Device Fault Manager 1.2 on a Sun box.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi,

if DFM is not connected to a domain or cannot connect to the Broker this usually happens after changeing the hostname of the management server. Try to add your servers IP and port 9002 in the following form:

x.x.x.x:9002

This can also be a problem if the host from which you launch your management is not able to resolve the servers name. If this is the fact you can work around by adding it in your hosts file.
