Novell IPX Frame type ETHERNET_802.2 routing support with 802.1q

Does anybody know if 802.1q supports routing for SAP frame type-Novell Ethernet_802.2? The documentation shows support for routing Novell Ethernet 802.3 encapsulation frame types. Has anyone done this.

I did not try it but I believe the 802.1q is VLAN trunking at L2 that there should be no issue on what traffic within this VLAN. Please let us know the result if you test it. Many thx.

I tried it and ipx did not route accross the wan. As soon as I removed dot1q trunking, it worked. I don't think it is supported.

Hi Jesse, could you mind to share more on the configuration that not works ? Do you mean it does not work when route between VLANs w/802.1q ? Thx.

int f0/0.1

encapsulation dot1q 100

ipx network 123 encap sap

This config does not work. CCO says that 802.1q will route 802.3 novell ether.
