Hi all,

when config ntp and set the ntp master, the command "ntp master x" is to define the quality of the clock source. the better of the clock source, should the "x" be bigger or smaller? Thank you!

Best Regards

x is the clock stratum. The lower the value of x, the more reliable/accurate the clock is. If you are setting a Cisco router as an ntp master, the default stratum is 8 and there is not usually a good reason to change this. Do not use values of 3 or less, as these are reserved for "real" clock sources.

Hope this helps.
