Access layer switches are getting NTP info from NTP server (configured on Cisco router). Router has configured access list to allow only specific switches to get NTP info. NTP info is being distributed, access switches do get correct date/time info. However, I am still receiving Syslog messages from NTP router about denied access for the "client switches"
Aug 28 11:43:22: %SEC-6-IPACCESSLOGS: list 1 denied xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 1 packet
The messages are annoying and fill-up the syslog logs relatively quickly. I would not say it is denying the packets because switches DO get correct timing. Any help in solving this problem is welcome.
