2: You might mean 100 simultaneous VPN connections? This could be a correct figure as I have heard that the VPN3000 has a hardware-based VPN accelerator. There is a huge difference between having 100 simultaneous sessions and 100 VPN connections. 100 sessions over one VPN is a light load for this device (not speaking about bandwidth here). Each VPN has it's own processing overhead, and this limits the number of VPNs on the box. 100 VPN's could bring a mighty CPU to it's knees. When a hardware accelerator is used, the amount of circuits decide the limit on the amount of VPN's.
