Ok can anyone please give their opinion?

3 remote systems connected by DSL cloud need to have netwrok connections between each site. File servers at 2 location none at third. Should I go with VPN routers or setup rack servers running Win2k to connect. WIn a free sticky pad for answering.

I know that one of these days I am going to get in trouble for this, but I believe in helping people not making them spend more money to be branded. Anyway, look into NetScreen products for small VPN solutions like this. I am a die hard Cisco engineer but for the small stuff like this they offer a great hardware solution, even over DSL. At our company we have played a lot with Microsoft versions of software VPN and do not like it for true NW file sharing. And I don’t trust there authentication methods as much, at least not over hardware solutions. Sorry MS.

Stop worrying about getting in trouble! We all come here to get the best solutions for our needs. If those solutions don't include Cisco, then so be it.

Yes don't beat yourself up. Actual now looking at Linux based VPN solution on seperate servers not 2K. We also link into or AS400 via TCP/IP and Emulation software. So what is your opinon now.
