One port of 2950G attached to a hub is not forwarding, why?

Hello,in my network,a 2950G-24 switch is attached to a Hub,distance between them is near 100m,the connection port in 2950G-24 is configured to 10m and half -duplex.After a uncertain time, the port led is solid amber, status of the port is line down and protocol down. After re-plug out and in the cable, the port become ok.Why?can you tell me how to resolve this problem? Thanks.

Does the interface see lot of collisions? If so, the port might be error disabling. Can you paste the output of sh interface fastethernet 0/x
