One side "connected", the other "notconnected"

I connected two Cat 6009s using FA crossover cable to create a trunk. On one side of the link I see the port "connected", on the other side corresponding port is "notconnected". Have you got any idea?

Are they Gig ports and are they set to auto? Disabling auto-negotation hides link drops or physical layer problems. If switch A is disabled and switch B is enabled, then A should report link up and B should report link down.

No, these are fast ethernet ports with manual 100Mbps fullduplex settings.
