OSPF and connected subnet redistribution

We got /20 subnet connected on two 8540 catalystswith routing modules. This subnet appears in OSPF chapter :

<p>network <subnet> 0.0.7.255 area 0.0.0.0

<p>which is obviously wrong !

<p>There is no redistribute connected command.

<p>On a third machine, a router, only OSPF talking with catalysts, I thought I would not be able to reach 2nd half of /20 subnet. But when doing a sh ip ro <subnet> on the router we got it known via ospf with /20 mask.

How this can be possible ?

I don't see what's wrong with the command:

router ospf x

network a.b.c.d 0.0.7.255 area 0.0.0.0

0.0.7.255 is the correct mask.
