OSPF and DDR

How can I configur the OSPF to be the Interesting Traffic for a DDR back up, provided that this OSPF interesting Traffic is initiated from the dialling Router ?

i.e. The LSA flooding generated from the dialing Router is the ONLY LSA that can bring up the Dail up backup line?

I would suggest using the OSPF Demand Circuit feature. See the following URL for more information -

Sir,

The OSPF Demand Circuit is Ok for suppressing the Hellos of the OSPF, but it brings up the DDR link with any single change in the OSPF database even if this change is initiated from another Router in the OSPF domain.

What I need is a way to bring up the DDR when there is a change in the OSPF database provided that the Router who initiates this change is the Router that configured for DDR backup.

Hi,

If you configure OSPF demand circuit belonging to a nssa or stub area then I think u will achieve what you r looking for
