OSPF and route filtering

Is there a way to filter specific networks from being advertisied out an OSPF interface?

We have a router which is neighboured with various other routers on int fast 0/0 , 0/1 and 2/0

We have networks (all with 24 bit masks)

I only wany the following networks advertisied out the specified interfaces

network out fast 0/0

networks and 10.10.30 out fast 0/1

networks and out fast 2/0

I have been attempting route filters but it doesn't seem to be working.

Anyone have suggestions?

Re: OSPF and route filtering

You can't do it with normal filters, like distribute lists and route maps. You can filter all the advertisements out of a given interface, using database filters, see:

You can filter based on a given prefix on an ABR, using the new'ish filter list commands in OSPF:

There's also the ospf route-map based filtering page, which describes how you can filter a prefix in the local OSPF database from being placed in the local routing table:

I cannot get to any of these links; even with a CCO login. It keeps telling me I'm not logged in. Can someone tell me where they are?

Remove the "partner" section of the url, for example:

Hope this helps.

Yep, that works... Sorry, I don't often think about the url's I post not being reachable. Something I'll have to watch for in the future.
