OSPF database shows Adv Router = 1 Hr

Level 1

When I do "show ip ospf database" the advertising router is shown as 1 hr and not the Router Id of the router that advertised it.

The reason I have looked at this is there is a route being advertised that is in the Database but not in the routing table of this router.

Below are the outputs:-

Link ID ADV Router Age Seq# Checksum Link count

10.204.36.0 lhr 1367 0x80000965 0xCE9B

10.204.36.1 lhr 1367 0x80000965 0x1234

LS age: 1097

Options: (No TOS-capability, DC, Upward)

LS Type: Summary Links(Network)

Link State ID: 10.204.36.0 (summary Network Number)

Advertising Router: lhr

LS Seq Number: 80000967

Checksum: 0xCA9D

Length: 28

Network Mask: /30

TOS: 0 Metric: 4737

LS age: 1097

Options: (No TOS-capability, DC, Upward)

LS Type: Summary Links(Network)

Link State ID: 10.204.36.1 (summary Network Number)

Advertising Router: lhr

LS Seq Number: 80000967

Checksum: 0xE36

Length: 28

Network Mask: /32

TOS: 0 Metric: 6299

Thanks

Tom

this is not 1 hr line 1 hour but lhr like LHR.

This is the DNS name of the router advertising router.

You can disable this feature with the command 'no ip ospf name-lookup'

Regards,

Gilles.
