OSPF debugging

Hi

I have configured OSPF and its working OK but if I start the "debug ip ospf hello" I can see lots of hello requests been send to "224.0.0.5" but I dont have this network configured anywhere. The hello is been send to all the routers interface, can anyone tell me what this means and how can I turn this off.

Thanks

Re: OSPF debugging

Yes

THis is the multicast address used by OSPF.In ospf this ip is used to send hello packet.

If you try to ping from the router to 224.0.0.5

You should get response from all connected interface which is in OSPF.
