OSPF Default-metric(bug)

Hi,

I observed that in ospf routing process, I can configure default metric upto a range of 2 power 32-1, but the external type 5 LSA packet format has metric field limited to 24 bits according to RFC2328 (page 214).

So I redistributed rip into ospf with the value 4294967294 , then the cost was flooded as -2 for rip redistributed routes. So is this a bug in Cisco if so what is the bug ID.
