Are you familiar enabling ospf on a router. ??? The 6509 switch (layer 2)cannot run OSPF. THe MSFC on the 6509 can run OSPF, which is a router by itself. Syntax for enabling OSPF are same as the normal Cisco routers.
To access the MSFC console, you can either directly console in, or go in through the switch.
Switch(console)#show module, will tell you which slot the MSFC is in.
Switch(console)#session where module no is the slot no for MSFC which you get from MSFC.
This will give you access to the MSFC (the console is exactly the same as an ordinary external router).
