Output errors at E1 Serial Interface

Hi,

I use a VWIC-1MFT-E1 interface and see output errors when I do a "sh int". At the remote side the same amount aborts occur. The Telco guys checked the line and see also that the router sends illegal sequences.

So what could be the reason for an output error?

Hello,

output errors would most likely indicate a hardware fault. the packet is already malformed when leaving the router therefore I would advice to return the WIC to Cisco.

Hello,

I replaced the VWIC already but the errors remain.

The interface shows also underruns. I found: "Number of times that the transmitter has been running faster than the router can handle." But no hint how to resolve this behavior ...

regards

Juegen

an output error occurs when the interface rx more traffic than it can handle. Can you paste in a sh int s0

also what is on the head end ? what kind of circuit is this ? point to point ? FR ATM ?
