output rate greater than clock rate?

We have a 72xx router connected to a 36xx router via a 384K

international leased line. I have observed that under heavy

load the 30 secs output rate under the 72xx serial interface

could reach and even exceed 500000 bits/seconds. The

"received clock" under "show controllers ser2/0" is 383760.

How can the output rate be more than the actual clock rate

of the line?

thanks

there was some bugs regarding inconsistent counter.

You might want to test different software version to see if you get the same result all the time.
