OVerblocking Giga port on WS 4418 network module

Hello,

I've tested to connected a 2924 on a Giga port Overbloked on a 4418 network Module (in a 4006 Switch , sup III) .. On the 2924 .. I've configured the gi port as follow :

Switchport trunk encaps ISL

Switch mode trunk

and on the 4418 module the GI 2/3 port is configured as switch mode trunk

I know that from 18 gi port unly two are supporting ISL encapsulation. .

I've tried to ping the switch 2924 but it failed .

I've also test to do no encapsulation ISL but in negotiate , but nothing

Do you have 8MB DRAM on the XL switch? Only switches with 8Mb support trunking. Does dot1q work fine? Paste the output of sh ver and relevant config from both switches
