pa-e3 line protocol down

Hi,

we have a line of 34 Mbps that connects two routers cisco 7206vxr.

In one side , there is a router 7206vxr with a pa-e3, and in the other side a router 7206vxr witch a pa-2e3. Sometimes, during the day, when the traffic is higher, the serial interfaces have interfaces resets and carrier transitions, and the line protocol of both side is down during 10 secs. at least. At first, we thought it was a bug, but we have change the version of the IOS.

Has anybody any idea?

Thanks

Hi,

Some ideas...

1) Check the transmission for CRC. If CRC on IF, then talk to your operator.

2) We had some probs with an PA-2E3 that made resets.

Loop from the nearest ADM (or just loop with a cable) towards your router. If still probs = change the card. We changed the card and the problem were fixed.

3) You can also check for new microcode for the card, but read the instructions before.
