Packet loss when 2950 + 3Com Router

Hello,

I found the packet loss issue when 2950 switch connect to 3Com Netbuilder II router directly. Any knows what is the cause?

The temporary workaround I using is add a hub in the middle to fix the problem.

Pls check the Netbuilder side setttings of the interface.

Wether it supports 100Mb.

Also check duplex settings, if it is 10Mb, halfduplex

set the same at switch side, which should solve the problem.(default at switch side autonegotiation)

Found the cause:-

1. 3Com 10Mbps module(AUI/BNC) + AUI Transceiver cause the speed negoication problem.

Now we use the 100Mbps module(RJ45) to fix the problem,
