pad over routers aux port

hi,

we want to connect a kreditcardterminal over pad to the routers aux-interface.

but the first problem is that we do not know which cable to use.

there is also a rj45 connector on the terminal

should we use a rolled-cable, straight through,...??

is there a comman on the router, where i can see that the aux is "up" - like a syncron-serial routerinterface ?

what about dte/dce - is the routers aux a dce ??

which pin is what signal on the aux ??

fact is, that when we connect that terminal to a other x25 switch, everything is fine.

if we connect this terminal to routers aux, nothing works - not even a pad/x25 call !!

any idea - please help

Since the AUX port only provides a terminal connection or an encapsulation like PPP, SLIP and BSTUN , I don't think you can connect to it using a PAD connection. You must be able to get the port and pinout details from the documentation for the device that you are using and the following link :
