I have a 2503 router that has 2 4-MB flash SIMMs installed. These exist as 2 seperate 4-MB partitions if I look at the flash config. I need to upgrade my IOS which presently is contained on the first flash SIMM. The lastest file is 5.6MB insize. Is it possible to create a single flash partition from these 2 seperate physical flash SIMM's so that I can upgrade to the new 5.6 MB image file, or do I need a memory upgrade to support it.

Hello,
you have to partition your flash into 1 partition, I think the command is:
Router(config)#partition flash: 1 8
I am not 100% sure about the syntax...

the syntax should be
no partition flash 2 4 4
