passing internet traffic

I have a 1600 series router and a Caymen DSL router connected to the switch. How can I pass the remote site ip traffic from the 1600 to the caymen router out to the internet.

Thanks!

Re: passing internet traffic

Put a default route on the Cisco 1600 pointing to the IP address of the Caymen DSL router (inside interface- lan interface of DSL router)

Re: passing internet traffic

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0

I hope the Cayman router NATs your local ip address for your workstations into the public IP that you get via the ISP.

Re: passing internet traffic

this appears to be a incomplete command.

I thank you for you help

Re: passing internet traffic

I presume you didnt enter the command in the appropriate router mode. You need to enter this command in global config mode.

router>enable

router#config t

router(config)# ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0

router(config)#ip classless

Hope that helps this time.
